We ensure that the drivers are sanitizing seats, handles and windows between fares to ensure the safest workplace possible.
Creston Cab Company Inc. (operating as Trail Taxi, Castlegar Taxi, and Creston Cabs) is committed to Everyone’s health and well-being. The very nature of our business makes it difficult to social distance. We have stepped up our disinfecting and sanitizing tasks to assure drivers and riders alike that they are our #1 priorities.
We ensure that the drivers are sanitizing seats, handles and windows between fares to ensure the safest workplace possible.
Equally important,we have advised our drivers to avoid having riders in the front seat in an effort to reduce physical contact and maintain social distancing as much as possible. Our drivers have been advised to wear masks for everyone protection.
Passengers are offered hand sanitizer/wipes as they enter the taxi.
Should the transaction be concluded with anything other than “tap”, (cash or card ), the driver is instructed to immediately sanitize the pin pad and their own hands.
Management has included all referred material from the COVID-19 Safety Plan in each taxi binder. Every driver has been mandated to read, and sign in acknowledgement, the binder in each taxi they drive. Management is available at all times should they have questions or concerns concerning the new guidelines. The documents included in each binder are as follows:

This self-assessment tool was developed by the Ministry of Health. The two page insert contains helpful health links as well as up-to-date COVID-19 information.
The final page of the new insert is the signature page for all drivers of that particular taxi. The page requires a printed name, signature and date.
We have asked for, and received, unconditional support from our employees to follow the safety protocols that have been put in place for everyone’s health and well-being.
